Sean O’Brien
Executive Director

Sean is the only person to have won the New England CYO Championship as a player and a coach at St. Timothy Middle School in West Hartford. He was a member of the 2000 Northwest Catholic State Championship Team. His coaching experience includes:

• JV boys coach at St. Timothy Middle School, West Hartford
• Varsity boys coach at St. Timothy Middle School, West Hartford
• Assistant boys varsity coach at Northwest Catholic High School
• JV coach & varsity assistant at Northwest Catholic High School
• Coach at the Kevin Ollie basketball camp
• Coach at the Tom Moore basketball camp at Quinnipiac University
• Coach at the Jim Calhoun basketball camp at the University of Connecticut

Karl Herbert
Assistant Director

Karl is the head coach of the girls varsity team at Northwest Catholic High School. His team spent 12 weeks as the #1 team in Connecticut during the 2009-2010 season, finishing with a final record of 25-1. Karl has won four State Championships as the boys JV coach at Northwest. As a player, he won a New England CYO Championship in 1977 and a State Championship at South Catholic High School in 1979. Karl's coaching experience includes:

• Boys freshman coach at South Catholic High School
• Boys freshman coach at Avon High School
• Boys JV coach at Northwest Catholic High School
• Girls varsity coach at Northwest Catholic High School
• Director of the Connecticut South AAU basketball program
